About

“I started photographing at the age of 8 after receiving my first camera as a gift from my godmother. Over the years, the hobby has been more active at times, sometimes it is almost forgotten. For the past ten years, I have been actively photographing and the hobby has become one of my professions.

As a photographer, I try to see the specificity and beauty of the moment in the small details. I feel I have the ability to find interesting details, sometimes even in the everyday things. I think the most interesting subjects are people and landscapes.

Photographing people, I try to find the specificity of the person and in landscape photography I seek depth and broad insight. My job and experience as a communications coach is also a great help in describing people. My work has developed the ability to read people and find a real person behind the facade.

The most interesting subject in the animal world is the swans and the best time to shoot them and the rest of nature is usually at sunrise.

Most of my pictures on these pages were taken in Finland, but there are also pictures from abroad, e.g. From Norway and London. The rare but beautiful winter daylight of Lapland is special and the crown snow-load on trees is beautiful, so Lapland provides a special opportunity to record northern exotics. My other favorite places can be found in Hanko, the Archipelago Sea and the beaches of the Helsinki metropolitan area.
